Lilit Papoyan is a classically trained pianist and educator with more than 20 years of teaching and accompanying experience.

She holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan, Armenia, where she received several awards for outstanding solo and chamber music performances.

Lilit has taught students of all ages and levels in Armenia, Jordan, and Canada. Her teaching experience includes positions at music schools and colleges in Yerevan and at the National Music Conservatory in Amman, Jordan, where she also prepared students for ABRSM examinations and performed with the Amman Symphony Orchestra.

Since moving to Toronto in 2010, Lilit has developed a successful private teaching practice and has taught at several music schools across the Greater Toronto Area.

Her teaching focuses on building a strong technical and musical foundation while encouraging creativity, confidence, musical expression, and enjoyment of music. Her students regularly participate in RCM examinations, festivals, competitions, and studio recitals.

Lilit is also an experienced collaborative pianist, providing accompaniment for instrumental and vocal students in rehearsals, examinations, competitions, and performances.

She currently teaches piano exclusively at Keys & Pipes Music Studio in Richmond Hill and is a Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) Certified Teacher
